Fingilish Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

Fingilish is a phonetic Persian keyboard for iOS. This policy covers the Fingilish app and its keyboard extension — the software we make. Your download of the app through the App Store is covered separately by Apple's privacy policy; Apple may show us anonymized, aggregate statistics (such as download counts), but nothing that identifies you.

The short version

Nothing you type ever leaves your phone. Fingilish collects no data, sends no data, and has no servers.

What the keyboard does

When you type a word in Latin letters and press space, Fingilish converts it to Persian script using a 28,000-word dictionary that is embedded inside the app on your device. All conversion happens locally. The keyboard:

What the app stores on your device

The app keeps a small amount of local data so the keyboard works: keyboard resource files, your فا/EN mode preference, and an internal flag recording which resource version is installed. This data stays in the app’s private container on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted when you delete the app.

Data collected: none

Under Apple’s privacy questionnaire, Fingilish’s answer is “Data Not Collected.” There is nothing to sell, share, or breach — we never have your data in the first place.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data a company holds about you — access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because Fingilish collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, delete, or export. If you believe otherwise or have any concern, contact us and we will respond.

Children

Fingilish does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Any change will never reduce the core guarantee above: what you type stays on your phone.
